4 sirloin steaks (about 1/4 inch thick)
2 garlic cloves (minced)
1 onion (chopped)
¼ cup sour orange juice
½ tsp salt
3 whole eggs (beaten)
1 cup breadcrumbs or ground crackers
¼ cup Olive oil
Season steaks by rubbing with the garlic; then, add the chopped onion, orange juice and salt. Refrigerate and marinate for about 1 to 2 hours. Remove steaks from the marinade and dip each steak into the beaten eggs. Coat both sides, well. Then, dip the steaks into the breadcrumbs or ground crackers, and coat well.
In a large skillet, add olive oil and heat on medium-high. Once the oil is hot, add and fry the steaks until golden brown on both sides and well done or medium-rare (whichever you prefer). Remove from heat and place on serving dishes.
On same skillet where steaks were fried, add some of the remaining marinade with the onions. Sauté onions and stir until there’s barely any or very little sauce left. Add about 1 spoonful of that sauce over the steaks.
