1 loaf Cuban, French or Italian bread
1 lb ham (thinly sliced)
1 lb Roast pork (thinly sliced)
½ lb Swiss cheese (thinly sliced)
¼ cup mustard
¼ cup butter
¼ cup pickles (thinly sliced)
Preheat a skillet, or griddle or a frying pan over medium heat. Cut the bread loaf into quarters and then, each quarter in half (lengthwise). Spread butter on each open side of bread. Spread mustard only on the base of the bread. Start layering beginning with pickles, then roasted pork, then ham, and finally cheese.
Lightly brush the outside of the bread with butter. Spray on or lightly grease the frying pan. Place sandwich on pan. Place a heavy object or iron skillet on top of the sandwich to press it down and flatten it to about 1/3 of its size.
Grill on medium heat for about 2 minutes on each side, until the crust has a golden color (not brown), and the cheese is melted. Cut sandwich in half (diagonally) before serving.
